This link is helpful for more specific questions that you may have. If you have questions, reach out to support or to your Broker.

Naming

Agents can register a DBA/nickname with their license.

For a nickname, the DRE should be notified if the nickname is significantly different from your real name. For example, it’s ok to use Rob instead of Robert. But if you are using your middle name (say, Andrew) instead of Robert, clear this with your Broker and DRE.

There are words that are prohibited to use in your DBA, like “Inc”, “Company”, “Corp/Corporation, LLC”. Read here for more instructions on words and/or names you should refrain from using.

Teams can also register a DBA/team names. See here for rules on team names.

In all cases, DBAs/nicknames/team names must be run by your Broker. You need approval from your Broker and the DRE before using a DBA/nickname/team name. Also, the DBA/Team Name/Nickname must be added to our corporate license prior to use.
